The number of older people in Ireland is expected to increase from 465,000 to 600,000 by 2015. Almost all elderly people express a desire to remain living at home and indeed, most wish to spend their final days at home, but because of smaller families, more and more people working and families living greater distances apart, this generation of the over 65s often lack much-needed practical support from relatives.
Our trained carers at CareWorld specialise in helping older people to remain living safely and independently at home. We can perform the simple domestic tasks and provide the essential personal care needed to keep a person living in their own home and community. Our care is individual person centred care. We can give companionship, personal care, home help and practical support. We pride ourselves on providing quality care for this client group.
Whether it’s playing bridge or a game of snakes and ladders, carer and cared-for enjoy quality time together and grow close building a trust and friendship that means so much to both. Friends and family are freed up from the day-to-day aspects of caring in the knowledge and comfort that their loved one is being well looked after, and can concentrate on spending quality time with the older person they care so much about.
CareWorld is a preferred provider of home care services to the HSE. We provide services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. A CareWorld supervisor can be reached around the clock. Our care and support staff are fully trained, supervised, spot-checked, garda-vetted and insured. Home care grants are available from the HSE. Tax relief is also available for those who qualify. See IT 47 tax relief form.
