Institutional care for stroke victims must be avoided if at all possible. CareWorld Care Services provides specialised care services to enable stroke victims to remain living at home long-term.
The main aim of rehabilitation is to enable stroke victims to reach their maximum level of function and live the best life possible within the limits imposed by their impairment.
Treatment must begin early, be systematic, and be built up in stages to include the types of treatment specific to the damage suffered. Depression is a common feature and must be identified and treated.
CareWorld care assistants are specially trained to provide personal care services while working closely with other health professionals to support the rehabilitation process. A few minutes a day guiding the service user through his or her exercise routines can improve the rate of recovery. At CareWorld we are acutely aware of this and our care workers are trained to be an active part of the health care team.
CareWorld is a preferred provider of home care services to the HSE. We provide services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. A CareWorld supervisor can be reached around the clock. Our care and support staff are fully trained, supervised, spot-checked, garda-vetted and insured. Grants are available from the HSE that will help cover the cost of our service. Tax relief is also available for those who qualify.
